well, im only 13, so i dont know what a critique is for certain, but i will tell u what the story is about if thats what u mean! It is set in Italy, wear two Italian (obviously) Nobles r great friends, but secretly brooding enemies! Their names r Montressor and Fortunato. We learn that Montressor is often insulted by Fortunato, but merely in a friendly manner. Montressor, however, takes it seriously. Finding Fortunato very drunk at the local fair, tells him that he has just purchased a cask of Amontillado, a very fine variety of Sherry. Knowing that Fortunato thought himself a great authority on fine wines, he asked him to come with him to Montressors Mansion to make sure that the Amontillado was the, uh, "real deal". Telling Fortunato that the Amontillado is deep in the underground crypts beneanth the mansion, the two light a torch and set off into Montressors wine cellar/family crypt. For many minutes they walk, Montressor making polite conversation with the drunken Fortunato. As the p a large stone doorway, Fortunato notices the Montressor family crest and asks Montressor what the family motto is. He replys that it is "Nemo me impune lacessit" but neglects to give a translation. so he leads on until they reach a small aclove. In his drunkedness Fortunato walks right into the wall and stands dumb-founded for a minute, giving Montressor the chance he needs. He wraps a chain around Montressors middle and chains his hands to the wall. Moving over to a pile of bones, Montressor removes a barrel of cement and bricks and begins to wall up the aclove to Fortunatos no-longer drunken cries! just before he sticks the last brick into the small space wear Fortunatos grim face can be seen he cries "Nemo me impune lacessit-Let he who would offend me, BEWARE!!!"
